ABOUT

...

MY PASSION

I have always been obsessed with hair & makeup. I used to get into my mothers Estée Lauder lipsticks and swatch them on everything. That's when I knew I would one day become an artist. My passion only continued to grow; I started looking at fashion magazines, and would cut out different looks of hair and makeup, which I posted all over my walls. My favorite designers included Alexander Mcqueen, Eli Saab, & Betsey Johnson. I could tell you the designer of a garment just by looking at the fabric. I loved seeing statement pieces. I loved every part of the fashion industry and couldn't wait to, one day be apart of it. Initially, I thought I would be making clothes for a living, but things changed. I got more interested in the 'decorating' part of fashion.

MY CAREER

My career started in 2008 when I attended Toni & guy Hairdressing Academy in Carrollton, Tx. There I learned advanced cutting/coloring techniques while in school, and had many platform artists from around the world teach classes there as well. I graduated in July 2009, and immediately started working for Laura Elena at Salon Worx Aveda. I trained with her for six months, learning Aveda concept cuts and coloring; but had to find something new after her sudden passing. After that, I moved to Dallas to work at a few different shops to gain as much experience as possible. Then I got an opportunity to work in Fort Worth at Shear Steel Salon. I worked on the set of Babyliss photo/video shoots doing makeup for various looks. I also worked backstage as an mua for Babyliss's Texas hairshows. For three years I was the mua for Shear Steel's fashion shows, etc. I learned that I'm pretty skilled under the pressure of all the backstage madness! This experience has given me the drive to continue moving forward-always learning and trying new things.
Today, I work on 7th Street in Fort Worth in my own salon suite and loving it. The freedom to create all things beautiful has been my dream. My goal for my clients is to give them a wonderful, stress-free experience, give them the confidence that everybody deserves, and to show them that they are GORGEOUS!
